Character information
Full Name
Celia Ronsedore
Age
20
Day of birth:
25th August
Gender
Female
Country of Origin
Al-siela (This is how she came to like mountain climbing and exploring exciting places)
Residence
Martille (the place her sister chose for them to live in)
Education
A good school, university, trained to be a teacher but wanted magic and training to be a fighter.
Occupation
Wanted to be a history teacher.
Personality
Quite cheerful, always talked to people even if they were shy. She was quite wise but unfortunately could get extremely jealous of anything. She wouldn't show it but it would edge into her thoughts and slowly burn away at her mind. The way she would deal with her jealousy was to give the person she was jealous of the silent treatment, so people who knew her well found it extremely annoying. She had lots of knowledge but tries not to look arrogant or big headed about it, though sometimes it seemed that way. She was very understanding and didn't say the wrong things, but stayed strong if people criticised her or were nasty. Sometimes she got angry and lashed out but most of the time found ways of secret revenge to get back at them.
Appearence
Her hair was long and dirty blonde, with natural streaks and big ringlets. She had piercing green eyes but a friendly face with freckles. Her skin was quite tanned so she was quite pretty but not spectacular. She didn't like her ankles, they were quite thick and looked strange compared to her thin build, so she wore boots to cover them. Her thin build was the downfall of her, it made people look at her and think she wouldn't be able to fight or walk for miles on end. She usually wore green; green breeches and tough green travelling gear with a mixture of brown and black. Her clothes were always ruined because Celia liked trecking and didn't mind them getting muddy.
Family
Her parents lost contact with her so she never got to know them, but loved her sister deeply and was distraught when she vanished mysteriously.
History
She grew up in Al-siela in the capital with her rich parents who seemed to not always approve of Celia in ways Celia would never understand. Celia only had one older sister, Siela who was sixteen at the time. Before Celia was born, Siela grew close to a boy the parents didn't approve of. Siela grew more unhappy as she had fallen in love with this boy, so when he left her without any contact Siela decided to run away. By this time Celia had been born, so Siela took Celia with her and fled to the mountains. The two of them camped alone there, learnt to fend for themselves and fight. The lack of food was terrible and Siela realised Celia was growing thin and weak, so they began a trek home. When they reached the capital of Al-siela (Lorensee) after years of living in the mountains, the two of them found out the parents had cleared off with all their money and possesions to a distant land. Celia was petrified - they didn't have any money! But later Celia discovered Siela had stolen money and valuable items of their parents so they bought a townhouse in Martille, so they could escape from their memory's in Alsiela. From then on Siera gave Celia a vast education and trained her to fight in Martille. By this time Celia was seventeen and Siera was thirty two. Seira never married and vanished when Celia was eighteen leaving Celia to build up her life on her own. Celia had no family to turn to and still wondered where her sister went. She decided there was nothing else to do but get an education and train, later wanting to be a teacher as this was Siela's dream. But was this what Celia really wanted...
Likes
Fighting and athletic's. She loved swinging off tree branches and climbing them, running down hills as fast as she could, climbing mountains...She also likes collecting knowledge and exploring places. She liked food which gave her energy to climb the mountains and fend for herself, and also because she grew up with so little. She was in love with green and everything she owned was a combination of brown, red and green. She loved water and went swimming in springs, lakes and rivers. She loved warmth more than anything and liked being loved and cared about because her heart was warmed by it.
Dislikes
Going to party's and sitting still. She didn't like dresses and she never liked having to act like a lady and vowed she would never go to finishing school. She was afraid of fire, as well as ice. Though she grew up in a cold climate she hated ice so much because it always made her feel cold and isolated. She hated being alone, so when her sister vanished it knocked her self esteem badly.
Strengths
Using the bow and arrow; her sister trained her well. Swimming, running, climbing...she was ok at the staff and dagger but not brilliant. She had good knowledge and education and was good at exploring new places carefully.
Weaknesses
Using heavy weapons and acting girly. She was afraid of fire, ice and nightmares, so didn't get a lot of sleep. The sword is the worst weapon that could be placed in her hands. Getting close to people was tricky for her as she got so jealous of them and plotted revenge on them if they did something she didn't like. She loved friendship - but always blew her chance of making friends by that.
Roleplay sample
Celia brushed back her tears as she gazed into the long lost tomb. It was so beautiful...yet so forgotten. Isolated and friendless...the only friend the tomb had was the wind...
"I hate you...", the wind seemed to whisper to the tomb ironically. She tied her long dirty blond hair up with her green ribbon and looked behind her with her piercing green eyes. Crouching low and hiding in the shadows, she crept in, makind her way up the rotten wooden stairs and through th magnificent entrance. Looking around, eyes widened, she tried not to gasp. Some moss had covered the broken walls, and dirt had covered up once polished and new statues, but she now knew what the chill was for as ice had preserved the most beautiful tapestry she had ever seen. Taking a deep breath she imagined the ice turning into warm droplets of water - this was a trick to calm her phobia of ice.
Wiping the specks of dirt off the ice she took a closer look. She could make out an image of a woman bathed in fire...this must represent Faey-in, the fire goddess. Jumping back in surprise, she calmed her self. They wern't real flames - yet they looked so real. Glancing along the tapestry she spotted a few wiggly lines. She knew it was water...and there she spotted another goddess. It must be Addiatra, the water goddess. Celia smiled and moved on. It was obvious the tapestry was telling the story she had heard so many times...
