Celia rode on curiously, sand dust dangerously hovering inches away from her face, until a dot was visible on the horizon. She told the horse, which she had borrowed from one of her friends, to gallop faster. The sun was blazing hot rays down on Celia, but Celia rode on despite the horrible heat. She was almost there; on the brink of discovering yet another abandoned town in this lonely desert.
A lonely desert, the perfect place for me, a thought snaked into her mind. She shrugged it off. She didn't have time to think these disturbing thoughts however, as the dot on the horizon was growing. Celia's long, out of control dirty blond hair was scraped back into a ponytail. Green eyes shimmering, she wondered if her dark brown skin needed to be any more tanned than it was under the warmth of the blazing sun. She grew more exciteded at the thought of exploring an ancient abandoned town. Celia had always loved history and could never explore enough ancient ruins, go on adventures to uncover the past or read about battles and events which took place long ago enough. She was even a history teacher in the water mage school.
She gasped as the town came into veiw. It was isolated and deserted, but special and delicate in every way. It was alone, but beautiful.
"I'm falling in love all over again", Celia muttered under her breath in awe. Green moss covered old, wooden shacks which walls had crumbled or roof's had caved in. One small track ran through the middle of the town, a track of secrets and lies. A lot could be uncovered from this town, but only a trained eye could see it. Celia was anxious to explore.
As Celia rode on into the town, gaping at the small trees and plants that had survived, she hoped she may find a living person as well as a bunch of corpses. She didn't want to be alone with bodies from the past, troops who had once marched on to save the Land of Salmai'nne.
